Personnel Recommendation – OPTIONAL Accelerated Hiring Process*

  1. Initiating Department
    1. Prepares Personnel Recommendation (PR), Justification, supporting documents, resume of referred person. On the PR, writes names of appropriate authorities to receive PR copy.
    2. Forwards PR , Justification, supporting documents, resume of referred person, directly to Department of Employment for processing.

  2. HR Department of Employment
    1. Receives Personnel Recommendation (PR), Justification, supporting documents, resume of referred person, for quality control review and final signature approval.
    2. Completes the hiring process.
    3. Separates the Personnel Recommendation form; attaches Justification, supporting documents, for distribution, as follows:

      Copy
      Location
      Original Human Resources
      Pink University Secretary
      Blue Budget Office
      Goldenrod Payroll Office
      Green Originating department
      Employee Copy Originating department
    4. Arranges for delivery as follows:

      Delivery method
      Location
      Courier University Secretary, Budget Office or Restricted Funds, Payroll Department, *Office of the Provost, *Office of the Vice Provost
      Campus Mail Originating department (employee and green copy)

    5. Inputs appointment data into GENESYS system
    6. Files copy of PR, Justification and supporting documents in employee’s permanent file
* After 2nd signature, the PR, supporting documents, and resume of referred person are delivered directly to the HR Employment Office. This process requires one-time documented senior authorization to the Assistant Vice President for Human Resource Mgt.

**Copies are delivered only when a department or college reports to this Office
