Your EAP includes these Services:

• Up to 5 free sessions with a counselor for issues such as marital and family problems, emotional concerns like anxiety, depression, and stress, substance abuse, or job performance
• Legal and Financial Consultation; Unlimited time for initial face-to-face or telephonic consultation with a local lawyer or a CPA or financial services professional
• Dependent Care Services, including resources and referral for: child and elder care, pre-natal care, adoption, sick and back-up care, schooling options for all ages, and retirement planning.

In addition employees will be eligible to receive research servics, video/audio tapes, counseling, books/brochure, etc. on an ulimited basis

You can access the HU-HELP EAP services throgh a Confidential single point of contact by calling 1-800-888-CARE (1-800-888-2273).

You and your familiy can also access the HU-HELPS EAP program on-line for free, professional, confidential support at http://www.magellanassist.com .

MagellanAssist.com has a wealth of resources to help individuals make informed decisions. Current features include:

• Ability to find and be referred to an EAP counselor on-line.
• Self-assessment quizzes on stress, depression and other related topics.
• Tips on preparing for EAP sessions, including what to expect.

To access on-line HU-HELPS EAP services, follow the steps below:

1. Go to www.MagellanAssist.com
2. Click on "Employees and Dependents".
3. Enter Howard University and Hospital's EAP telephone #: 800-888-2273.
4. Enter your company name: Howard University or HU, or Howard University Hospital or HUH, or HUP.
5. Click on your subject of choice (choose from the list on the left-hand side of the page, or from one of the blue topic headings).
